Policies and Expectations for Miss Plunkett's class:
Students are expected to be in their seats and working on the bell work by the time the bell rings. Any student who is not in his/her seat working by the time the bell rings will be considered tardy to class.
Student cell phones should also go in the pockets at the beginning of each class. If a student is caught with his/her cell phone in the middle of class, Miss Plunkett will take it and the student may have it back at the end of the class period.
Late work is accepted using the school policy. The policy goes as follows: assignments are accepted up to 10 school days after the due date (receiving 5% off for each of those days that it is late). After the allotted 10 school days the assignment will be given a 0 and can no longer be made up. Tests/quizzes not made up at their scheduled time will also result in 5% off for each day not made up. If still not made up after 10 school days, the test/quiz can no longer be made up and will receive a 0.
It is the responsibility of the student to make up absent work. If a student is absent, he/she should check the course calendar for in-class, or out-of-class assignments that need to be made up. If the make up work requires a hard copy, check the absent folders or see Miss Plunkett for a copy. It also the responsibility of the student to schedule a time with Miss Plunkett to make up any tests/quizzes that are missed during an absence. Going along with the school policy, if the student has not scheduled a time to make up a test/quiz within two days of the absence, it will result in a loss of 5% for each day that the test/quiz is not made up.
Any test or quiz can be corrected for up to one week after the grade is posted. Arrangements should be made with Miss Plunkett. If corrections are not completed, or submitted within a week of the grade being posted, corrections can no longer be made.
